Standpoint of the Ad Hoc Ethical Committee (EC)
A Magyar Repüléstörténeti Társaság 2014. évi Repüléstörténeti Évkönyvében Bernád Dénes – Punka György: “Magyartarka” Lakkok, festékek, álcázószínek a Magyar Királyi Honvéd Légierő repülőgépein címmel megjelent tanulmányukban a Magyar Repüléstörténeti Társaság Etikai Bizottsága az alább felsorolt problémákat találta megalapozottaknak.
In the 2014 Yearbook of the Hungarian Aviation Historical Society, Dénes Bernád and György Punka published their study of ‘Hungarian multi-colour’ lacquers, paints, and camouflage colours on the airplanes of the Royal Hungarian Air Force. The Ethical Committee of the Hungarian Aviation Historical Society (EC) found the problems listed below established.
1., A szerzőpáros tanulmányában engedély nélkül felhasználta Magó Károly kutatási anyagát, valamint nem tüntették fel a kutatási anyagok forrásaként Magó Károlyt nevét.
The author double in their study employed Károly Magó’s research material without permission as well as they did not present Károly Magó’s name as source of the research.
2., Bernád Dénes és Punka György tanulmányukban megváltoztatták egyes dokumentumok tartalmát.
Dénes Bernád and György Punka changed the substance in sense of certain documents in their study.
3., A szerzők tanulmányukban tudatosan szelektáltak a dokumentumok között, azokat, melyek nem támasztották alá elméletüket, egyszerűen kihagyták.
The authors in their study intentionally selected among the documents and they simply omitted those parts which did not support their theory.
Magó Károly a Magyar Repüléstörténeti Társaság Etikai Bizottsága előtt 2016. február 06-án, valamint a Repüléstörténeti Társaság 40. Konferenciáján 2016. február 13-án bemutatott dokumentumokkal bizonyította, hogy Bernád Dénes és Punka György a tanulmányuk publikálása során megsértette az alapvető etikai szabályokat.
Károly Magó in presence of the Ad Hoc Ethical Committee of the Hungarian Aviation Historical Society on February 6, 2016 as well as at the 40th Conference of this Society on February 13, 2016 demonstrated with produced documents that Dénes Bernád and György Punka in the course of the publication of their study infringed the basic ethical norms.
